Adult Volunteer Information

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: In accordance with our churches' reducing the risk policy to protect children, youth and vulnerable adults we ask all adult volunteers to complete additional volunteer screening. This screening may include a basic background check, references and a short training. See "Reducing the Risk" section below to start this process.
If you require a new or updated background check to be done before the event, the cost will be covered by the VBS program and a seperate verification form will be provided.

Reducing the Risk of Child Abuse -- Volunteer Covenant

Statement of Covenant: As a Christian community of faith, our ecumenical Vacation Bible School pledges to conduct this ministry of the Gospel in ways that assure the safety and spiritual growth of all our children and youth, as well as the volunteers who work with them. We ask all of our volunteers and staff to join in our committment of preserving our churches as Holy places of safety and protection. Please read the following covenant statements regarding your work with our VBS children and youth. Read carefully and check "yes" or "no" to each statement.

Release from Liability/Property Agreement

Please read carefully:
I, as a volunteer of Downtown Bozeman VBS, understand that many activities are happening at the Christus Collegium and Living Waters UMC. I understand that while on the property of any of the buildings in use, I will be covered by that church's liability insurance if something were to go wrong with the building or equipment that belongs to that building. However, for any transportation to and from VBS, I understand that insurance coverage will be my responsibility. I further expressly authorize and consent to any medical care by qualified medical personnel for myself, if necessary, because of illness or injury.
